Our memories of Matt

I had the privilege to sit relatively close to Matt during our last semester together in the fall of 2000. This gave us the opportunity to interact more closely on a regular basis, and to give each other a hard time on various issues. Matt was a sharp shooter. He said things the way he saw them and didn't hold back anything if he felt he could make a difference in enhancing our learning. Although not a close personal friend, Matt was a family man with whom I felt personally identified. He was fun and I will remember him forever. I miss you Matt. May you rest in peace. |

An Angel To Watch over YouSome people come into our lives and quickly go.….some people become friends and stay a while...leaving beautiful footprints on our hearts... and we are never quite the same because we have made a good friend!! Yesterday is history…..Tomorrow a mystery…..Today is a gift…..That's why it's called the present! Live and savor every moment.....this is not a dress rehearsal! |

I will always remember Matt just as he was in class every week…always sharp and on the ball! Everyone got their fair share of harassment by fellow classmates, and the Professors, and Matt graciously accepted his. He was quite the college football fan as was demonstrated by his accessing the web during breaks to catch up on the scores, and by leading the rest of the class to the campus grill to watch the games at lunchtime. It was clear that Matt loved his family. I've never seen him so proud as the day he delivered his son's Boy Scout popcorn orders to the class. Of course, he had them all organized and knew exactly who ordered what. I'm glad I was lucky enough to know Matt. Good-bye for now, fellow Sprint comrade, classmate and friend…I will see you in the Kingdom of our Father. |
